Are you working on a manuscript and looking for editorial support?
Every year I take on a small number of manuscript evaluations. Through teaching and mentorship, I have over a decade of experience working with writers to develop compelling narratives. The goal of an evaluation is to deliver in-depth feedback on plot structure, pacing, character development, and thematic cohesion, while helping the writer gain a deeper understanding of their work as a whole. During the process, we can also think about elements of style and work on crafting excellent sentences. Every evaluation includes an initial meeting by phone or Zoom, detailed, editorial notes of 5-10 pages, and a follow-up meeting for questions. The average wait time for editorial notes is around four weeks. I only work with fiction manuscripts, either novel or short story collections.
